Our values:
Survivors First
New Mexico public policy must ensure that victims are safe, are able to move through the healing process, and are empowered to seek accountability for offenders in criminal and civil court.
Mitigation
Our public policy should be focused on mitigating damages, lifting survivors’ voices, and making real and substantive change for the better.
Accountability
Big insurance companies and their lobbyists have tried to create unfair obstacles to holding wrongdoers fully accountable in civil court. Our elected leaders must not allow this. Wrongdoers should not escape accountability to save big insurance companies’ money – resources that should be used to help victims.
Engagement
We believe in empowering New Mexicans to engage with our elected leaders and public officials to demand public policy that focuses on protecting survivors, preventing future crimes, mitigating harm, and holding wrongdoers fully accountable.
